Up to 12,000 U.S. Airmen Refuse to take the Jab
Despite the Pentagon’s vaccination mandate imposed on the military, according to a military news reporting agency Stars and Stripes, “Up to 12,000 Air Force personnel have rejected orders to get fully vaccinated against the coronavirus despite a Pentagon mandate and officials say it is too late for them to do so by Tuesday’s deadline, posing a first major test for military leaders whose August directive has been met with defiance among a segment of the force.”
With about 96% of airmen who have already chosen to take the jab, these thousands of brave airmen have refused to comply at the threat of facing hefty consequences. With tensions in China now heating up top military officials, according to the Stars and Stripe report, warned “barring an approved medical or religious exemption, those who defy lawful orders to be fully immunized are subject to punishment, including possible dismissal from the service or they could be charged in the military justice system.” Thus, these airmen face the possibility of being detained in the brig and possibly removed from their military service.
