More than 1,000 appointments from Joe Biden's administration were swiftly removed by President Donald Trump, who specifically targeted prominent individuals such as retired General Mark Milley and renowned chef José Andrés. In a midnight Truth Social post announcing the mass firings, President Trump said his administration was pursuing appointees who did not share his vision to "Make America Great Again."

President Trump issued a straightforward "official notice of dismissal" to four Biden appointees and promised additional terminations on Truth Social overnight. His team was actively designating over 1,000 officials for removal, and he wrote, "Our first day in the White House is not over yet!"

José Andrés and General Mark Milley, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, were the first among those dismissed. Andrés was terminated from the President's Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, while Milley, who had previously criticized Trump, was removed from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council.

Trump has reinstated the "Schedule F" initiative, which aims to deprive civil servants of their employment protections. Additionally, he has mandated that federal employees return to the office on five days per week. The objective, according to allies, is to replace entrenched bureaucrats with loyalists who are in alignment with President Trump's vision.

When President Donald Trump returned to the White House, he wasted no time in getting rid of more than 1,000 people who had been appointed by the Biden administration. Trump made a passionate post on Truth Social early Monday morning, in which he declared, "Let this act as official notice of dismissal for these 4 individuals, with many more coming shortly." He shouted his famous catchphrase from The Apprentice, "You are FIRED!"

Keisha Lance Bottoms, a former mayor of Atlanta who was a member of the President's Export Council, and Brian Hook, a former diplomat at the Wilson Center for Scholars, were among the other appointees withdrawn.

President Trump also acted swiftly to restructure the federal workforce, reintroducing the contentious "Schedule F" scheme to weaken civil workers' job rights. In addition to requiring federal workers to resume their full-time duties, President Trump's moves suggested a larger effort to strengthen ties within the administration.
