In a warning that such activities endanger law enforcement officers, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has pledged to prosecute any government workers, including FBI agents, who divulge information about ICE raids. Her remarks follow those made by White House Border Czar Tom Homan, who implied that leaks could originate from within the Biden administration and result in risky circumstances where criminals avoid apprehension. Bondi also declared that he will sue New York officials for their noncompliance with immigration rules.

The DOJ is currently looking into possible leaks about ICE operations from within the FBI and other agencies, said Attorney General Pam Bondi. According to White House Border Czar Tom Homan, members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua were able to evade capture recently thanks to leaked intelligence. Bondi said the DOJ was suing Attorney General Letitia James and New York Governor Kathy Hochul for allegedly not enforcing federal immigration rules.

Pam Bondi stated during her first press conference as U.S. Attorney General that her office will take strong action against any government personnel who divulge confidential information about immigration enforcement. "We will not tolerate it. We will track you down. When questioned about possible FBI leakers, Bondi responded, "We will look into it, and you will face consequences." Her caution comes after White House Border Czar Tom Homan expressed worries that ICE's operational plans would be leaked to the media by an administration official.

According to a Fox News story, the most concerning instance of this occurred when members of the infamous Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua allegedly used a leak to avoid an ICE raid. Bondi has adopted a tough posture as a result of the ramifications of such security breaches. She pledged, "It is a crime, and you will be prosecuted when we locate you."

Addressing leaks was not the only topic of Bondi's press conference. She also revealed that Attorney General Letitia James and New York Governor Kathy Hochul would be sued by the Department of Justice for their failure to enforce immigration rules. Bondi said, "We sued Illinois, and New York didn’t listen, so now, you’re next," hinting at a larger clampdown on sanctuary laws that impede federal immigration enforcement initiatives.

Newly sworn-in Attorney General Pam Bondi said Wednesday that the Trump administration has sued the state of New York, its governor, Kathy Hochul, and Attorney General Letitia James, claiming that they have violated federal law by providing protection to illegal immigrants.

The commissioner of the New York Department of Motor Vehicles, Mark Schroeder, is also charged. Bondi brought up the Driver's License Act, often known as the Green Light legislation in New York, which permits undocumented immigrants to obtain a driver's license.
