Largest U.S. Teachers Union Organized to Obstruct President Trump’s Mass Deportation Enforcement

The most influential teachers' unions in the country are advising school employees to undermine American law and thwart immigration enforcement.
The American Federation of Teachers is the second-largest teachers' union in America, after the National Education Association. Both organizations are publicly supported, with union dues derived from teacher salaries that are paid for by taxpayers, and they frequently support Democrats and liberal agendas. Despite the fact that most Americans support deportations, they have now released guidelines encouraging staff to assist illegal aliens in avoiding mass deportations.
Both unions' presidents recently released comments criticizing President Donald Trump's executive order that permits more extensive immigration enforcement. In an apparent attempt to incite widespread panic, public figures, such as Pedro Martinez, the CEO of Chicago Public Schools, and J.B. Pritzker, the Democrat governor of Illinois, have been spreading false reports on ICE raids at schools, according to one report.
NEA President Becky Pringle said she would obstruct immigration enforcement the day after Trump was sworn in.
Pringle asserted, "The incoming Trump government is dedicated to a mass deportation plan that would cause irreversible harm." "Keeping our students safe is our professional and moral obligation, particularly if and when Trump deploys ICE in our communities."
The NEA also recommended that educators encourage families to download the "Notifica" app, which is developed by the open-border group United We Dream. This app provides a help button that allows illegal aliens to "Notify [Their] Deportation Defense Network." The NEA recommended that staff distribute "Red Cards," which provide illegal immigrants with guidance on how to avoid apprehension and the repercussions of violating the law.
During the traffic stop, Huttle was carrying a handgun, state police said. Regarding the incident between Huttle and the deputy or the reason for Huttle's arrest, no further information was given.
Educators are advised not to "obstruct or interfere with ICE activities or the agents" in the event of a search, according to the NEA. Nevertheless, you are not obligated to grant the agents access to non-public areas if they did not present a valid search warrant. It stated that employees should refrain from providing any statements to ICE agents or permitting themselves to be interrogated prior to consulting with an attorney. The union advised illegal immigrants to "develop an emergency plan" and refrain from opening their doors in the event that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrives.
The union has published a draft "safe zone" resolution that mandates the district establish a "Rapid Response Team" in the event that students are detained by ICE and to prohibit ICE from entering the campus until the superintendent's approval. The resolution mandates that "personnel are to refer ICE or other immigration law enforcement agents to the superintendent" in the event that they request any student information.
A draft policy that prohibits any "third party access to the school" that would disrupt the learning environment in the opinion of the "site administrator" is accompanied by this resolution. The policy mandates that staff must promptly notify the superintendent and "parents or guardians of any pupils involved" if they are approached by immigration law enforcement agents. Staff must request an ID and warrant and contact the district's attorneys if ICE requests to enter campus or obtain student information.
Many school districts in the United States have implemented "safe zone" policies, with many of these policies having been implemented as early as 2016. The usual suspects, such as Chicago, Los Angeles, Portland, and Seattle, are included. However, districts such as Miami and Nashville, which are located in deep conservative states, also expressed their intention to challenge law enforcement.
AFT President Randi Weingarten called Trump's immigration policy "cruelty" and "un-American" in her statement criticizing his executive order. She declared that the public union would "fight to safeguard our students" and oppose federal law enforcement. The AFT provides illegal aliens with a "Deportation Defense Toolkit" that teaches them how to get ready for an ICE raid.
In order to be ready for immigration enforcement, the union advises illegals to identify "a local nonprofit group that can help you," contact an attorney, save money, and "create [a] family immigration raid emergency plan." The AFT also provides a "Know Your Rights" card, which is comparable to the "red cards" that the NEA promotes.
Another handbook that the union offers teaches illegals the "do's [sic] and don'ts for students and their families if ICE officers come to their homes." They are instructed to "fight back," "be quiet," "do not sign," and "do not open the door."
The AFT collaborated with United We Dream, the National Immigration Law Center (which favors driver's licenses for illegal aliens), and the Center for Law and Social Policy (which advocates for racial "reparations") to release these materials.
