Democrat U.S. Senate Candidate Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes Called Out for Lying About His Lies
Despite conflating reports of raising $1.23 million in the final quarter of 2021 in his bid for the Wisconsin Senate against Republican Ron Johnson, Democrat Mandela Barnes was recently called out for lying about being a graduate from Alabama A&M by News Talk 1130 WISN.
The Associated Press reported: “A candidate questionnaire that Barnes' campaign returned to the Wisconsin State Journal last year said Barnes had a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from Alabama A&M University. But Barnes told Isthmus newspaper for a story published Thursday that he didn't graduate from college because he didn't complete a course. A&M spokesman Jerome Saintjones confirmed Barnes attended the school but didn't graduate.
Barnes spokesman Earl Arms said in an email that Barnes has always said he attended A&M rather than saying he graduated. Arms said the questionnaire response was an error by a campaign staffer, and that Barnes "regrets that oversight."
Yet, Tweets about his claims of graduating from college throughout his political career contained an article link indicating that Barnes graduated from college in 2008 and got his start as a field organizer for Obama that year in Louisiana, in essence a lie to cover up another lie! Representing a consistent pattern of dishonesty now prevalent among many Democrat politicians, Wisconsin lieutenant governor Barnes also lied about a delinquent property tax bill in June, claiming that he was paying his taxes in installments after being confronted by The Journal Sentinel’s Dan Bice. Additionally, Barnes Barnes came under fire for the exorbitant cost of his security detail and extensive use of State Patrol vehicles; he lied about using them only for official government business, according to the News Talk report.
Barnes was also accused of inciting Kenosha rioters, and described as a “fundamentally dishonest person” who definitely is not deserving of a seat in the U.S. Senate!
