Democrat Senator Shameless Comment About Gas Prices and Gets Hit With Backlash
According to a June 7 article by Resist the Mainstream, “Democrat Senator Debbie Stabenow of Michigan, bragged about driving her pricey electric car past gas stations, and many people online lashed out at her over the insensitive comment.” Many took to social media to share the backlash of just how arrogant Stabenow comments were.
While many are feeling the pressure of Biden’s inflation at the pump, the article noted that “Stabenow laughed as she noted how high gas prices were as she zoomed past on her way to the U.S. Capitol. She made the comments at her opening statement for a hearing at the Senate Finance Committee on Tuesday. I just have to say just on the issue of that at gas prices, after waiting for a long time to have enough chips in this country to finally get my electric vehicle, I got it and drove it from Michigan to here this last weekend and went by every single gas station. It didn’t matter how high it was,” said Stabenow.
Rightfully so, many found Stabenow’s comments as tone-deaf and insensitive. Not only was Stabenow’s comments out-of-touch, but they were a clear representation of the Democrat party: typically clueless, arrogant, smug, and self-righteous! And where did Stabenow get her “chips to afford an electric car?” Off the backs of Americans taxpayers, apparently.
