COURT RELEASES AARON HERNANDEZ’S LETTER TO FIANCEE

An excerpt of a letter written by Aaron Hernandez to his girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins Hernandez was released by Massachusetts court officials on Friday. The former New England Patriots tight end wrote the letter to Shayanna before he took his own life in prison on April 19.
The letter reads:
“Shay, you have always been my soul-mate and I want you to live life and know I’m always with you. I told you what was coming indirectly! I love you so much and know you are an angel – literally! We split into two to come change the world! Your characteristics [sic] is that of a true angel and the definition of God’s love! Tell my story fully but never think anything besides how much I love you. This was the Supreme’s, the Almighty’s plan, not mine! I love you! Let (redacted) know how much I love her! Look after (redacted) and (redacted) for me – those are my boys. (YOU’RE RICH) I knew I loved you = Savage Garden.”
Until his death, Aaron Hernandez was serving a life jail term after being convicted of killing Odin L. Lloyd in 2013. Lloyd was dating the sister of Aaron Hernandez’s fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins. Lloyd’s body was found by a jogger in a pit at an industrial park close to Aaron Hernandez’s home in North Attleboro. Aaron Hernandez was found guilty in April 2015 and was subsequently sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Odin Lloyd was until his death, a semiprofessional football player.
A judge has ruled that the letter be handed over to Hernandez’s family.
Aaron, 27, was born in Bristol, Connecticut and he played college football at the University of Florida. He was also a tight end for the National Football League side, the New England Patriots. Aaron’s body was found at 3:05 a.m on April 19 and investigations showed that he hanged himself with a bedsheet that was attached to a window in his cell.
