CNN REFUSED TO AIR PRESIDENT TRUMP’S 100 DAY AD
President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign have criticized cable network, CNN for refusing to air an ad about the President’s first 100 days in office.
The campaign, Donald J. Trump for President, Inc, sent out an email to supporters describing CNN "fake news". The campaign's executive director Michael Glassner, said in a statement, “It is absolutely shameful to see the media blocking the positive message that President Trump is trying to share with the country,” "It's clear that CNN is trying to silence our voice and censor our free speech because it doesn't fit their narrative.”, he continued.
A part of the ad attacks the media outfit labeling it “fake news”
The network requested that the graphic calling the mainstream media "fake news," be removed before selling airtime to the President to show the commercial.
A source say “CNN requested that the advertiser remove the false graphic that the mainstream media is ‘fake news,’” a spokeswoman for the cable channel said in an email. “The mainstream media is not fake news, and therefore the ad is false and per policy will be accepted only if that graphic is deleted.”
The self-congratulatory ad was produced by President Donald Trump’s campaign committee. This committee is not inactive since the president has already filed to seek reelection in 2020. The campaign committee also confirmed on Monday that plans are in place to spend $1.5 million to place the commercial on TV and to spread it over the internet.
President Trump himself has aimed the “fake news” barb at CNN more than any other media outlet. However, president of the cable channel Jeff Zucker claims that “the perception of Donald Trump in capitals around the world is shaped, in many ways, by CNN. Continuing to have an adversarial relationship with that network is a mistake.”
75 percent of Americans see the news as “Fake news and are turning to other alternatives to find a news source that’s not bias and report real news. The American people are putting these Media outlets on notice by letting themknow their making a big mistake by not reporting fair and un-bias news.
