                    This is about the hidden truth that's plaguing the black community and why its not cool to talked about it.
                                                                **TIME TO HAVE THE CONVERSATION**

We can no longer turn a blind eye to what seems to be an epidemic of black men killing their wives, girlfriends or even their children. Every week there’s been some horrific story in the headlines about wives, girlfriends and children dead at the hands of the very one that’s supposed to provide and protect them. We know Mental Illness is prevalent in all communities but is it plaguing our African American community particularly black men or is this an act of cowardness?

Murder Suicide

In what is being described as a murder-suicide, two adults were killed and two students were injured and on later died after a shooter walked on to the North Park Elementary School campus in San Bernardino on Monday morning. According to San Bernardino Unified District spokeswoman Maria Garcia, one of the killed adults was a teacher.

The killer identified as Cedric Anderson, 53 years old an African American man

Father Arrested on Murder Charges

A 2 year old and a 4 day old were stabbed to death and their bodies left in a car parked in a wooded area. The children were in the middle of a domestic-related incident between Freeman and his wife.

The killer identified as 30 year old Tillman Freeman an African American man

Single Mother and 8yrs old son Shot Dead by boyfriend

Latina Herring and her son were shot. The two were arguing outside of a convenience store which escalated to the home of Herring where her boyfriend kicked the door in and killed Latina.

The Killer identified as 31 year old Allen Cashe an African American man

Where Are the Black Leaders that’s Supposed to Represent the Black Community

Where are the black leaders and organizations that say they represent the advancement of color people? There’s the NAACP, The Congressional Black Caucus, The Rainbow Coalition and the list goes on and on but you never see these organizations speaking about things that severely affect the AA community unless it’s benefits them monetarily.

With everything that’s going on in the AA community this is what the black leaders chooses to tweet and talk about

Jessie Jackson is another one who chooses to stay stuck in voter discrimination and police brutality while overlooking the fact that there is an undercover brutality going on against black women at the hands of black men.

The Black leaders may be oblivious as to what’s going on and they will probably blame the lack of employment but to us this epidemic is not about being gainfully employed. To us it’s about being readily ignored by Black leaders who hide behind their picket fences and continue to feed black people more air through talk thus oppressing them and not helping them?

Too much air in an already fragile vessel will cause a burst and you know what happens to the fragments? It touches the very people who are in the midst of the burst. African American don’t need black leaders to just blow air. We need action, we need Strong leaders who are willing to step up to the plate to show and teach who men how to heal instead of Kill.
