Don Jr. Has Choice Words for Anonymous GOP Senators Who Spoke Out Against Vice President Vance

Jewish Insider published a piece on Wednesday that cited seven unnamed Republican senators who expressed concern regarding Vice President JD Vance's foreign policy instincts. The senators were notably concerned about Vance's leaked remarks, which questioned U.S. military engagement against the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen. The senators, who spoke anonymously, perceived Vance's private comments as indicative of an "isolationist" mindset that they believed was inconsistent with conventional Republican foreign policy.

Vance's private remarks in a leaked Signal group conversation, in which he questioned whether U.S. strikes on the Houthis in Yemen served America's interests, sparked the senators' criticism. Vance suggested that Europe may be more directly threatened.

One senator informed Jewish Insider that Vance's perspective is "very disappointing" and "perplexing" to America's European allies. Others have expressed apprehension regarding the broader trajectory of GOP foreign policy under Trump and Vance's leadership.

In his response, Trump Jr. did not mince words, accusing the unnamed senators of being longstanding Trump critics and asserting that "these RINOs are a dying breed in our party—whether they realize it or not."

The criticism, according to the outlet, is focused on Vance's assertion in the leaked Signal chat that the Houthi threat is "more of a problem for Europe than the United States." It was reportedly "shocking" to one senator that Vance did not support U.S. retaliation in response to assaults on American naval vessels, as he believed that there was "more than enough justification" for military action. Another individual observed that Vance's remarks were in accordance with his opposition to the continuation of aid to Ukraine. However, they cautioned that they raise concerns regarding the Republican Party's overarching foreign policy objectives.

The dissatisfaction reached a climax when a senator expressed concern that President Trump may be regretting his decision to nominate Vance. He stated, "I have to wonder if Trump is contemplating this and thinking, 'What have I done?'"

However, the vice president was promptly defended by the Trump administration. The report was denounced by Republican strategist Anthony Surabian, who accused the seven legislators of distributing a "hit piece" and criticized their refusal to provide a statement. Surabian further added, "Don Jr. decided to respond to them on the record and let them know what he thinks about them," citing Trump Jr.'s pointed rebuke: "Genuine p*ssies."

Donald Trump Jr. issued a statement to Jewish Insider in which he condemned the senators, stating, "These seven cowardly neocons who are anonymously attacking JD are genuine p*ssies." If they truly believe this, they should at least be courageous enough to affix their names to these quotations. He went on to say that his satisfaction with the disappearance of these RINOs in our party stems from their anonymity.

Trump Jr. also responded on social media, writing, "How much do you want to bet that the 7 RINO Senators anonymously crying about @JDVance to the leftist media are some of the same ones who have constantly trashed my father behind his back for years?"

Steve Guest, a former GOP communications staffer and current advisor, also expressed his dissatisfaction with the media's involvement in the drama, describing the decision to grant anonymity in this context as "DISGRACEFUL."
