President Trump Calls Twitter a Disgrace After Marjorie Taylor Green Ban
In his Jan. 3 Statement by Donald J. Trump, President Trump said “Twitter is a disgrace to democracy. They shouldn’t be allowed to do business in this Country.” Trump’s response was a reply to Twitter’s decision to permanently ban Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from its platform for violating its “COVID-19 misinformation policy.” The Tech Giant’s decision came after Greene tweeted on Saturday about “extremely high amounts of Covid vaccine deaths.
Greene pushed back with a statement on GETTR by saying that “Twitter is an enemy to America,” also adding “Twitter is a danger to us all by deeming itself the judge of speech on its platform. It’s time to end their abuse of power they were never given. Leave Twitter NOW!!!” Greene also shared a post on GETTR to thank President Trump for issuing his statement in her defense against Twitter’s censorship.
President Trump in his statement noted that “Marjorie Taylor Greene has a huge constituency of honest, patriotic, hard-working people. They don’t deserve what’s happened to them on places like low-life Twitter and Facebook. Everybody should drop off of Twitter and Facebook. They’re boring, have only a Radical Left point of view, and are hated by everyone. They are a disgrace to our Nation. Keep fighting, Marjorie!”
