JANET JACKSON SAYS SHE WILL RESUME WORLD TOUR, ADDRESSES SPLIT FROM HUSBAND

Singer and songwriter Janet Jackson took to social media on Monday night to make some big announcements about her career and family.
In a video that lasted for about a minute-and-half, the sister of late pop icon Micheal Jackson addressed several issues ranging from her three-month-old son, Eissa Al Mana, her weight loss, and her separation from her Qatari businessman husband.
"Hey you guys, it's me Jan, just in case you didn't recognize me cause I have put on quite a few since I had the baby," Jackson said. "I thank God for him, you guys. He's so healthy, so beautiful, so sweet, so loving, such a happy baby."
On her divorce from her Qatari businessman husband, Janet Jackson said she’d like to "keep it real" with her teeming fans. In her words, “Yes, I separated from my husband. We are in court and the rest is in God's hands."
The music star then proceeded to announce the resumption of her "Unbreakable" tour which is now dubbed the "State of the World" tour.
On the change of name, she said, "It's not about politics, It's about people, the world, relationships and just love."
It would be recalled that Janet Jackson brought forward her tour first in 2015 for surgery and for the second time in April 2016 as she and her husband planned their home.
In October last year, the 50-year-old Janet confirmed that she was becoming a mother.
Her tour is scheduled to begin with a concert in in Lafayette, Louisiana on September 7 and tickets for the rescheduled tour dates will be available for purchase from May 5.
The singer ended the video with an appreciation to her fans for their patience. "I am so excited. I cannot wait to see you on stage, September 7."
