HASAN MINHAJ THE SO CALL COMEDIAN AT WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENT DINNER WAS A HOT MESS

President Donald J. Trump was an obvious target for joke of a comedian Hasan Minhaj at the White House Correspondents Dinner held on Saturday night.
The Saturday event was the first edition of the dinner under Trump’s administration and although the President was not around, the whole event was all about him. In fact, Hasan Minhaj described President Trump as "the elephant not in the room."
Hasan Minhaj missed the point, this event was organized to honor important journalist, to eat, and also drink. Instead, he continually cracked jokes that were meaningless and aimed at President Trump’s personality.
The president of the White House correspondents group, Jeff Mason denied allegations that Hasan Minhaj was chosen to “roast President Trump in absentia”
This is the second time Hasan Minhaj would make Donald Trump a target. The 31-year-old Minhaj also aimed jokes at President Donald Trump when he performed at the Radio and Television Correspondents' Association dinner last year.
Earlier this month, Jeff Mason said on MSNBC, "I was looking for somebody who is funny and who is entertaining -- because I want the dinner to be entertaining -- but who can also speak to the message that the whole dinner is going to speak to ... the importance of a free press,"
In an obvious dig at President Donald Trump’s administration, Minhaj said, “The news coming out of the White House is so stressful, I've been watching 'House of Cards' just to relax." He also said, "Every time Trump goes golfing, the headline should read, 'Trump golfing. Apocalypse delayed. Take the W.' "
On Afghanistan, Hasan Minhaj said, "Historically, the president usually performs at the correspondents' dinner, but I think I speak for all of us when I say he's done far too much bombing this month."
