TRUMP TO HOLD A RALLY ON THE NIGHT OF THE WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENT DINNER
President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump confirmed on Saturday that he will hold a rally in Pennsylvania. In case you didn’t know, this is the night of the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.
The President posted a tweet on Saturday afternoon
The President had suggested earlier in the year that he wouldn’t attend the annual dinner in Washington, D.C. It has become a tradition for the President of the United States of America to attend this event alongside celebrities and some lawmakers.
President Donald Trump will be the first American leader not to attend the event in three decades. No members of the White House staff are expected to attend the dinner. It has been confirmed that Hasan Minhaj, a senior correspondent for “The Daily Show” on Comedy central will host the dinner in the absence of President Donald Trump.
A number of organizations such as the Creative Coalition, Reuters, UTA, CNN are pressing on with their plans to attend the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner despite the President absence.
The scheduled rally will be held at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center in the New Holland Arena. Doors open at 4:30pm EST and the Rally starts at 7:30pm
President Trump also revealed that he will be announcing new tax reforms in the coming week.
“Big TAX REFORM AND TAX REDUCTION will be announced next Wednesday,” President Trump said.
