FIRST LADY MELANIA TRUMP WON

The First Lady of the United States of America, Melania Trump has won her case – a libel suit, against a British Tabloid, Daily Mail. The UK based newspaper had published an article on 20th of August 2016, questioning her work as a professional model.
Mrs. Trump will get a reported sum of $2.9 million in damages and legal fees from Associated Newspapers, publishers of the Daily Mail, one of the UK’s best selling papers
The British media outlet apologized to the First Lady by posting a message on its website which reads, "The Mail Online website and the Daily Mail newspaper published an article on 20th August 2016 about Melania Trump which questioned the nature of her work she provided service beyond simply modeling." The article included statements that Mrs. Trump denied the allegations and Paulo Zampolli, who ran the modeling agency, also denied the allegations, and the article also stated that there was no evidence to support the allegations.
The Online Website goes on to say, ‘’we accept that these allegations about Mrs. Trump are not true and we retract and withdraw them. We apologize to Mrs. Trump for any distress that our publication caused her. To settle Mrs. Trump’s two lawsuits against us, we have agreed to pay her damages and costs.’’
Melania Trump is the first Lady of the United States was born in Slovenia. She became a permanent American resident in 2001 and obtained her American citizenship in 2006. Mrs. Trump fluently speaks six languages – English, French, Italian, German, Serbo-Croatian and Slovene – worked as a model before marrying Donald Trump, the U.S. President on the 22nd of January 2005.
