Will Biden’s Preemptive Pardons Really Get Fauci and Cheney off the Hook?

By The Blog Source

Earlier this week, journalist Matt Taibbi stated on his podcast with former Fox News star Tucker Carlson that former President Joe Biden's preemptive pardons for former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), Dr. Anthony Fauci, and others would backfire in some situations.

The problem with these pardons is that they were made incorrectly. Regarding rumors that Biden prematurely pardoned a number of people who were probably involved in illegal activity, Taibbi stated, "If you want to know what is occurring, they just made it a lot simpler for us to find out."

Carlson pressed Taibbi for an explanation, saying that he had spoken with legal experts who stated the pardons would not, for example, permit the recipients to invoke the Fifth Amendment if they were called to appear before Congress.

The individual can no longer invoke the Fifth Amendment after the pardon has been granted. They must speak up because they are unable to exercise their Fifth Amendment rights if they are taken before a grand jury or a congressional committee, the journalist explained.

The reason this is so fascinating, he added, is that he has been speaking with criminal defense lawyers, previous Senate investigators, and some current Senate investigators, and they have all essentially expressed the same sentiment. "Granting someone a pardon if you are trying to hide something is so irrational that you would only do it in the case of extremely serious offenses, is not that right?

For us, that is a warning sign. We ask themselves, "Why would they do that unless there was something truly horrible there?" when we witness someone receiving a pardon. "Taibbi said." "There is either something we do not know about [and] that is interesting, or they made a terrible error by making it easy for everyone to investigate."

Taibbi is not alone in his prediction that Fauci, Cheney and other members of Joe Biden's family may not be shielded from all future legal actions by the preemptive pardons granted to them.

Earlier this month, federal litigation lawyer Jesse Binnall noted that, should the GOP-controlled Congress compel them to appear, Biden's pardons do not protect them from repercussions if they lie under oath. He said that anyone hoping to see the two charged could find the pardons to be "excellent news."

In fact, the pardons are wonderful news. Before throwing another bombshell, Binnall wrote on X, "No one who was just pardoned will be entitled to decline to testify in a civil, criminal, or congressional proceeding based upon the 5th Amendment."

"Let us just be realistic. Binnall, a former attorney for President Donald Trump, stated that charging partisan leftists in Washington, DC, is unlikely to result in conviction.

"The depositions and actual testimony must take place outside of Washington, DC. Washington, DC, is a biased court that will not convict Democrats who commit perjury. "Take this show on the road," he wrote.

Former Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman and Army Gen. Mark Milley, who later opposed Trump during his first term, as well as all other J6 committee members, received pardons on Sunday night.

Trump particularly mentioned Biden's pardon of Cheney while signing executive orders in the Oval Office on Monday between inauguration day events.

“I was going to talk about the things that Joe did today with the pardons of people that were very, very guilty of very heinous crimes, like the unselect committee of political folks,” he told reporters about the Jan. 6 panel.

“Why are we doing this? Why are we helping Milley? “Why are we aiding Liz Cheney?” Liz Cheney is a disaster. She cries uncontrollably.
