Was JD Vance On Point for Calling Out the ABC Host for Downplaying Colorodo Gang Activity?
Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, a Republican contender for vice president, challenged Martha Raddatz of ABC News on Sunday after she minimized Venezuelan gang presence in Aurora, Colorado. As Raddatz maintained that the problem only affected "a few residential complexes," Vance snapped back, "Do you hear yourself?"
Martha Raddatz asserted in the interview that there was little Venezuelan migrant gang involvement in Aurora, saying, "Our committed police officers have addressed those concerns, and the events were limited to a few apartment complexes."
In response, JD Vance said, "Do you hear yourself? Venezuelan gangs only took over a few apartment buildings, and Donald Trump—not Kamala Harris' open border—is the issue?"
Vance maintained that the Biden administration's border policies were the root of the larger problem, claiming that they have made it possible for violent gangs to penetrate American communities and directly connected the present open-border strategy to the increase in crime.
