The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Announces Illegal Aliens Can No Longer Allowed to Fly Without Identification

By The Blog Source

Illegal immigrants in the United States will no longer be permitted to use the CBP One app as identification for domestic flights, according to a statement released by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The only exceptions are for people moving between detention centers or traveling for self-deportation.

The statement also stated that "illegal aliens who have previously had their identities verified through CBP One will only be allowed to enter the checkpoint if TSA can ascertain that the travel is for deportation or movement between detention facilities."

The Trump administration is taking a "critical step" in prioritizing Americans by discontinuing a "horrendous" program that allowed illegal aliens to travel without identification. Launched as a single portal to access various Customs and Border Patrol services near the end of President Trump's first term, the free app was controversially expanded under former President Joe Biden to make it simple for migrants to make appointments for asylum at a port of entry along the border.

The action was taken in response to concerns expressed by Homeland Security authorities regarding the appropriate screening of the thousands of migrants that crossed the southern border under Biden. According to Border Patrol sources, overworked agents were frequently releasing migrants into the United States after accepting their word on their identification.

A damning assessment by the inspector general of Homeland Security also raised concerns about "high-risk" migrants being able to enter the country illegally without identification and then freely move around the United States.

According to the report, "TSA's screening and vetting processes do not eliminate the risk that noncitizens who could be a threat to fellow passengers could board domestic flights."

"Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement are unable to guarantee that they are preventing high-risk noncitizens without identification from entering the country under the current procedures." The absence of official identification unnerved Americans, a TSA insider told The Post.

According to a prior Congressional investigation, TSA used CBP One 60,000 times to permit migrants to travel during the first 10 months of the Biden administration. The agency examined the migrants' documentation after they were released from the border, including ICE arrest warrants and immigration court dates, to confirm their identities. One inspector general report from last year supported the Trump administration's claims that letting migrants fly without formal identification constituted a security issue.
