This was a question asked by Tucker Carson after a Tuesday Dec 11th Senate Hearing in which FBI director Jill Sanborn refused to answer questions about the FBI’s involvement in the events of Jan. 6. During the hearing, Senator Ted Cruz, possibly doing a little PR to clean up his remarks about Jan. 6th protesters, grilled Sandborn over a man named Ray Epps and the theory that the FBI was involved in what took place on that day.
Cruz asked FBI director Sanborn “Did federal agents or those in service of federal agents actively encourage violent and criminal conduct on Jan. 6?” Sandborn refused to give a direct response and responded by saying she would not divulge “sources and methods.” Additionally, Cruz asked “Ms. Sanborn, was Ray Epps a fed?” Avoiding a direct answer again, Sandborn replied: “Sir, I cannot answer that question.” Something smells fishy here!
