DHS Secretary Kristi Noem: “Immigration Enforcement Leakers Found and Will Be Fired”

By The Blog Source

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced that her agency has identified some leakers who disclosed internal information about Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids. Noem implied that the leaked memo about a massive ICE operation in Los Angeles was the work of dishonest FBI agents. The leaks might put law enforcement lives in jeopardy, but Noem and border czar Tom Homan said they will find the people behind them.

While acknowledging that some leakers have been apprehended, Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a warning about the repercussions of disclosing private information that puts the lives of police enforcement in danger. DHS Secretary Noem said the people who leaked information about immigration enforcement activities have been identified and will be fired.

According to Noem, her organization employed "every tactic" to find the leakers, including conducting polygraph examinations and looking through their emails and other correspondence. She added that the conduct of the leakers jeopardized national security and endangered law enforcement.

Noem did not say how many people were involved or whose organizations they were employed by. However, she charged earlier this month that the FBI was corrupt and had leaked plans for extensive immigration enforcement operations in the Los Angeles region. A leaked internal memo outlining preparations for a "large-scale" ICE raid served as the basis for a piece published by the Los Angeles Times. The leakers who hampered government efforts to enforce immigration rules will face consequences, Noem promised.

In response to the LA Times article, Noem posted on social networking platform X on February 9th, saying, "The FBI is so corrupt." "We will cooperate with all agencies to prevent leaks and bring these dishonest deep state agents to the highest legal level of prosecution.

Tom Homan, the border czar under President Donald Trump, accused media leaks earlier this month of impeding a massive immigration operation that targeted members of the Tren de Aragua (TDA) gang in the Aurora, Colorado, suburb. According to Homan, information about the operation had been leaked, and media reports that had been released suggested that the raids were about to happen. "It is not a game," Homan declared. "We are aware of TDA's dangers. We can all concur that our officers will ultimately face an ambush once they become aware of our approach. Their work is risky enough. Therefore, we will take their work very seriously.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a warning that anyone who revealed such private information would face repercussions. Noem stated that she is dedicated to helping law enforcement personnel and their families going forward, vowing to look out for those who pose a threat to their safety and wellbeing and to care for those who serve.
