Congress Investigates Act Blue for Potential Foreign Funding Schemes

ActBlue is being investigated by Congress, probing into potential foreign election funding from China, Russia, Iran, and Venezuela to support Democratic campaigns. ActBlue is being closely examined by House and Senate investigators for any criminal donation-related foreign funding schemes. Concerns about money laundering by U.S. enemies like China, Russia, Iran, and Venezuela were revealed in letters to the Biden administration.

The Treasury Department, FBI, and other agencies have been asked to provide Congress with access to confidential intelligence and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).

ActBlue is an online fundraising platform that congressional investigators are looking into more closely because they believe foreign actors may have hacked into it to transfer funds to Democratic campaigns. The probe focuses on rivals like China, Russia, Venezuela, and Iran, who may be taking advantage of American supporters and using straw donations without their knowledge, according to letters that Just The News was able to get.

Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) and House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil (R-Wis.) wrote shocking letters to key Biden administration figures, including Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. These letters raise concerns that ActBlue, a crucial platform for Democratic fundraising, may be used to channel illegal foreign contributions.
