Interim D.C. U.S. attorney Edward R. Martin, Jr. submitted a letter of inquiry to Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) late last month, formally beginning the DOJ's investigation into Schumer.

"At this point, I humbly ask that you elaborate on your remarks from March 4, 2020. At a private rally off the U.S. Capitol site, you made those remarks. According to Martin's letter, "You made them plain and in a manner that many found intimidating."We take threats against public leaders very seriously," Martin adds, emphasizing Schumer's exact comments. Upon request, I eagerly await your help with my letter of inquiry.

Chuck Schumer is under investigation by the Department of Justice for threatening justices of the Supreme Court at a pro-abortion rally in 2020. In what could be interpreted as a violent threat, Schumer said, "You have unleashed the chaos, and you will bear the consequences. "If you continue with these terrible judgments, you will not know what hit you," he added.

"Justices realize that criticism comes with the territory, but threatening utterances like this from the highest echelons of government are not only unacceptable, they are dangerous," Chief Justice John Roberts warned in a rare public speech.

According to reports, Martin wants to examine former Justice Department officials and Democratic leaders.

Maybe he should investigate Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), who during the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin on charges related to George Floyd's death in 2021 urged violent Black Lives Matter demonstrators to "stay on the street" and "get more confrontational" than attacking police and setting buildings on fire.
