BODIES OF MISSING ARKANSAS BOY AND BABY SISTER FOUND IN WOODS
Few days after the bodies of his two-year-old sister, his Mother, and his Mother’s uncle were found. Authorities in Arkansas say they’ve found the unresponsive body of a 9-year-old boy identified as Reilly Scarbrough. This discovery was made on Saturday at about 11:55 am in a “heavily wooded area” near Hatfield, far Western Arkansas.
It would be recalled that the body of Reilly’s sister Acelynn Wester was found on Friday not too far from where the body of Bethany Jo Wester, the 43-year-old mother of the children was found on Tuesday. Bethany’s uncle, 66-year-old Steven Payne was also found dead in his home in Hatfield on Thursday. Hatfield is 4 miles north of Cove, about 120 miles southwest of Little Rock. The cause of their death is not yet known.
The sheriff’s office said that Reilly Scarbrough’s body was discovered with help from an inmate, Brian Bliss Travis. Brian Travis is in the Polk County Jail on charges that are not related to this incident but he may well face capital murder charges for Reilly Scarbrough’s death. Brian Bliss Travis was arrested last Wednesday on drug charges.
Sheriff Scott Sawyer said the death of the four is considered homicide but Brian Travis is considered a major suspect in their death. It is believed that Brian Bliss Travis was Bethany Jo Wester’s boyfriend and Sawyer said he "anticipates that capital murder charges will be filed" against him. The sheriff made a promise to “seek justice for the families' of the victims.” However, he did not provide information on the whereabouts of the children’s other relatives, including their father.
Authorities in Arkansas had spent the major part of the past week searching for the body of the 9-year-old boy. It is unclear if Travis will also be charged for the murder of Steven Payne, Acelynn Wester and Bethany Jo Wester.
