Reality Star Clay Adler Dies of an Apparent Suicide
Clay Adler, the 27 year-old former MTV reality star and actor has died after taking his own life. It is reported that he died of gunshot wounds. The talented actor shot to fame as a cast member of MTV show Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County, and was also an actor in the TV series Make it or Break it.
Reports says that Clay took his life after going into the desert with friends to fire guns before turning the weapon on himself. Clay shot himself in the head and died the following day in hospital after suffering serious injuries. The police however rebuffed claims that drugs or alcohol were involved.
Cable and satellite television channel MTV, paid tribute to the late Adler. A spokesperson of the entertainment channel said, ‘’we are saddened by the news of Clay Adler’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time.’’
The father of the late actor confirmed that Clay’s death was suicide and that his late son would be happy his organs had been donated to save more lives. ‘’He’s already saved about four or five lives,’’ he said. ‘’Clay had requested years ago when he applied for a driver’s license – that his organs be donated to people.’’
Meanwhile, it is understood that Oscar-winning actress and Clay Adler’s old friend Jennifer Lawrence is heartbroken over the sudden suicide of the 27-year-old.
‘Clay brings Jennifer back to her humble beginnings and his death really has Jennifer heartbroken,’ an anonymous source told Hollywood Life.
When asked if he had an idea of what may have triggered his son taking his own life, Clay’s father, Frank said, ‘’There were no signs. No real signs’’.
